The Plot: Seeking an Escape from Marital Monotony

‘Mastiii 4’ is the fourth installment in the popular adult comedy franchise, bringing back the central trio of Amar (Riteish Deshmukh), Meet (Vivek Oberoi), and Prem (Aftab Shivdasani).

The film is set in the UK, where the three long-time friends are once again trapped in what they perceive as dull and unfulfilling marriages.

  • Amar is married to Bindiya (Elnaaz Norouzi), whose obsession with charity dominates their life.

  • Meet is married to Aanchal (Shreya Sharma), whose hyper-suspicious nature leads her to constantly monitor him.

  • Prem, a doctor, is married to Geeta (Ruhi Singh), who is constantly busy with religious rituals from every major faith.

The Catalyst: The ‘Love Visa’

Seeking an escape from their domestic woes and a chance to relive their bachelor days, the trio attends the 10th wedding anniversary of their seemingly blissfully happy friends, Kamraj (Arshad Warsi) and Menka (Nargis Fakhri).

Amar, Meet, and Prem become suspicious of Kamraj’s continuous cheerfulness. They later discover his secret: a ‘Love Visa’ granted by his wife. This visa allows Kamraj one week each year to have extra-marital affairs, believing that this annual release ensures his loyalty and commitment for the remaining 51 weeks.

Fascinated by the concept, the three friends decide to ask their own wives for a ‘Love Visa,’ hoping to escape their routine lives and indulge in some carefree fun.

The Twist: Reverse Masti

To their surprise, the wives not only agree but also enthusiastically seize the opportunity for a ‘Love Visa’ of their own.

The plot then introduces the central twist: ‘Reverse Masti.’ The wives jet off on an exotic getaway for a week of independence, leaving their husbands behind.

Suspicion quickly consumes Amar, Meet, and Prem as they become convinced that their wives are planning their own romantic escapades. The friends must now deal with a chaotic high-stakes situation filled with double-meaning dialogues and misunderstandings as they try to keep track of their wives, leading to a farcical climax that turns the tables on the perpetually frustrated husbands.

The film relies on the camaraderie of the central trio and the introduction of new characters, including Don Pablo Putinwa (Tusshar Kapoor), to fuel the slapstick, often crude, comedic mayhem that defines the franchise.
