Gladiator II Synopsis:
Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) struggles with a split personality. His other self is the Joker, a comedian with deadly jokes. In the first movie, he kills six people as the Joker. Now facing trial, his lawyer Maryanne Stewart (Catherine Keener) wants to argue that Fleck shouldn’t be punished for the Joker’s actions. However, he rejects her help and decides to defend himself, which pleases the attention-seeking attorney, Harvey Dent (Harry Lawtey). While in jail, Fleck meets a troubled singer named Harleen “Lee” Quinzel (Lady Gaga), who becomes fascinated with him and sees him as her match. Through her, he starts to embrace his singing talent, shifting from seeing himself as a comedian to a performer like Fred Astaire, captivating audiences everywhere.
